Rush! Rush!

Rush! Rush! is a rhyming poem with beautiful imagery and fun.

Children who enjoy the popular early childhood chant “we’re going on a bear hunt” – will just love this new kiwi book – Rush!

Author Elena De Roo takes readers and listeners on a joyous run (through the sight, smell and physical energy of the main character – a girl) through a rural landscape and into NZ bush.  It draws to an end on the beach among seagulls and then we see a gorgeous display of manu tukutuku (kites) flying overhead.

Now,
Zoom down the runway.
Aim for the sky.
Find the horizon.
Get ready,
set … (turn page)
Fly

Jenny Cooper’s illustrations are magic and combined with Elena De Roo’s wonderful writing the book is most impressive.

Whether you are an adult or young child it is a book that will blow you away.

Check out this book.  If you don’t, you will miss out on discovering just wonderful it is.
