Adventureland Early Learning Centre

Name:

Setting:
Takes Infants:

Community Ownership: Parents likely have a strong say in how the service operates and what happens to children, all money earnt stays within it, and teachers may be paid better and childcare charges may be lower compared to most (but not necessarily all) private and corporate owned services. (Ask: Is it an Incorporated Society? Does it also have charitable status?)

Community Ownership:

Small Boutique Centre: Centres with 50 or fewer children make it easier for staff to provide a warm and nurturing environment, for children to have their individual needs met and skills, knowledge, and competencies extended. (Ask: For continuity of care and relationships, do children stay with the same group of children and teachers throughout their time at the service?)

Small Boutique Centre:

100% Qualified Teacher Funded: All staff counted toward meeting the minimum adult-child ratio requirement must hold a practising certificate as a teacher if the service receives this level of Ministry of Education funding. (Ask: Does the service count teachers trained in the ECE of children birth to 5 years and not primary or secondary school trained teachers?)

100% Qualified Teacher Funded:

Men Included on Teaching Staff (as at last year): There are strong benefits of having both men and women on the teaching team for the quality of care and education a service provides to children. Additionally, gender bias in staff recruitment and employment is not generally acceptable in society today. (Ask: How many teaching staff are employed and what proportion are men?)

Clean Licence Record (last year and the year before): To be licensed a service must comply with regulations that help ensure children’s safety, care, and a suitable standard of education. Great learning environment. Teachers are very involved in kids activities. Centre Manager Aman has been working really hard to bring the best for the kids and the centre . Great effort!!
Timely and clear communication with parents . I think this centre has a great potential to become one of the best in the area .

I have my daughter and it has been an excellent experience, first she was with the babies and now in the older ones’ room. She is always entertained and has an amazing time with her new friends. Thanks to the center for making our little children achieve greater independence

My daughter joined here when she was 2 years old. She is now 4 and half and she is being taken care of very well and I am so happy for her. The location is very close to the main road and I like the fact that they have a big play area for the kids. I would recommend this centre highly.

My son has only be attending for a few short week in the under 2’s room and the teachers have been amazing, they have been very warm and welcoming, making both me and my son feel right at home differently feels like they go above and beyond to set up activities that are exciting and engaging each day would highly recommended! If your looking for a centre that feels like a home away from home then adventureland is the place to go

  • Angie

Lovely centre with experienced qualified teachers. Well resourced rooms and a beautiful huge outdoor play area with lots of natural grass and small bush for walk. Cooked meals onsite.
