This subsidy is paid to ECE services for each child up to 30 hours, with the following exception: Services with children on the higher 20 Hours ECE subsidy who are enrolled for more than 20 hours a week at any service can only claim up to 10 hours of this subsidy.
Services continue to receive funding for a child who is absent up to a maximum of 3 weeks.
Services that receive this subsidy for a child can also charge parents/families a fee.
The funding rates are as shown below. All rates are from 1 July 2014 except for the Kindergarten rates which are from 1 May 2017
