Equity funding

Services located in low socio-economic communities are given between an extra 0.97 cents and 0.21 cents per hour per every child.

The amount depends on a service’s Equity Index rating which is calculated by the Ministry of Education.

Services with children with special learning needs such as not being from an English-speaking background are given 0.19 cents to 0.47 cents extra per hour per child

Services that provide a language and culture other than English an apply for an extra $410.81 per month.   

 

Services may also receive:

Targeted funding for Disadvantage - an additional 0.34 cents per hour per child

Funding for Physical Isolation - up to an extra $290.45 per month as an isolation allowance.
