I am so grateful to the management and staff of Precious Years, for the welcoming, caring, fun and educational environment they provide for our whānau.
The centre is clean and tidy. Policies are circulated for review. There are always different activities out for the kids to get involved in at drop-off time. Building/construction/art/books etc.
In other centres, management have been reluctant to take the kids out of the grounds for educational purposes which makes me sad. At Precious Years I was lucky to be part of a trip to the ngahere (bush) over the road for a walk with the kids and teachers. The outing was safe, fun, good fresh air and exercise.
There are lots of outdoor activities to do and free-flow outside either in the front yard or back yard is almost constant. The outdoor spaces are great. Children play outdoors in all (within reason) weather with the right clothing to protect them.
Communication with parents is frequent (via email and Storypark) and daily chats are common. I love to talk to the teachers at the end of the day sometimes, to see what my daughter has been up to. In other centres I have felt there has not been time given to have these chats. At Precious Years, there is always time given for this. I am very appreciative and I know how tired the staff are at the end of the day!
Thank you!
