Parents are advised to get to know the educator allocated to their child, the other people who live at and may visit the educator's home, and enquire if the agency provides a reliever on occasions when the educator has personal appointments and tasks to attend to.

I am the general manager of PORSE today, but I've used PORSE since my oldest boy (now five) was just six months old. We opted for a nanny model initially to support us to transition back to work and get used to the idea of my boy being cared for by someone else. We had a 'granny nanny' who very quickly became a part of our family and was a massive help in the early days as a new mum trying to juggle the work/family life. When my boy was two, we started with a Home Educator alongside our nanny. This gave him the opportunity to be around other kids but in a nurturing, secure environment. He loved this and has made lasting friendships and connections. Our youngest son (now three) has also been a 'PORSE kid', going to the same Home Educator as his older brother with a Nanny providing extra hours and support with drop offs and pick ups. I highly rate PORSE - they get the constant juggle that is the life of a working mum and the childcare options are tailored to fit this. I get daily updates online of what's happening and can talk to my boys about their day in a meaningful way when I pick them up. The communication is great. They're not just a number in a room - they are a part of a family. They've thrived in a home environment where they get to have one on one attention and care. We could not and would not have done it any other way.
Happy family thanks to home Educator

“We honestly couldn’t be happier. My child's carer, Dawn, is A-MA-ZING. My child took to her from the first second she met her and has never looked back. She has three other lovely girls in her care ranging from 1.5 to four years. My child loves pottering away and exploring in a calm, supportive, loving environment. Dawn lives just around the corner from us and has excellent facilities. She’s understanding and flexible and we’re very grateful to have found her. The programme tutor Michelle and the office ladies have all been equally as supportive and made everything seamless for us. So we’re very happy!

I used PORSE for my entire ECE journey with Mr Five year old. I had a nanny for two years and then a home educator. Both were amazing and met my sons individual needs and interests. StoryPark helped with daily updates to reduce my mummy guilt and my visit notes from my teacher were great in getting an overview of what was happening. The office were always great to deal with and I loved getting play ideas and resources I could use in the home.

Home-based care is perfect for me while my daughter is so small. I love that she is in a nurturing, warm and homely environment but also gets the opportunities to be out and about socialising with other babies and toddlers in the playgroups.
My Educator Kylie was amazing in the first few weeks. I was very emotional dropping my baby off so she continued to send pictures of my daughter playing and looking so happy which kept my mind at ease. I LOVE this about Kylie, the constant updates and the amazing journal she keeps of all the kids, I love that I know exactly what my daughter has done all day, how happy or sad she was, what she ate and what she did.
My daughter just fits right in and has been happy and smiley from day dot. I could tell by my daughter's reaction on the first day that I had the right place. I also really love the extras offered - playgroups, music groups etc.
I like that my daughter gets cuddles and gets to know Kylie on a level she wouldn't have at a large centre. She is not just another number, and Kylie really does treat her like one of her own.
