I spent many mornings at SIB as our son (who only speaks German) needed a lot of time to settle in. Therefore I had the chance to see how truly passionate the teachers are about their work and how much they care about the kids.
We alwas felt very welcome and supported especially during the long phase of transition. Val and her staff were always open for discussion and shared their experiences and ideas to facilitate the settling in for my son. They were incredibly patient with him and continually did their best to gain his trust and distract him when I left. They even learnt some words in german for our little one!
All of the teachers are very attentive and always treat the children with love and respect. They build trustful relationships with the children and their families and create a safe and nurturing environment for the kids. Besides free and creative play the children are offered to join in mat time, to take part in weekly changing engaging activities and to develop their future school skills with their 'busy books'.
Small Is Beautiful is just such a wonderful place for children and we are incredibly thankful to be part of the center.
Can't recommend SIB highly enough!

Since the moment we walked in, Small Is Beautiful felt like home. Knowing that the teachers really care for our son gave us peace of mind. The time they each spent in connecting with him, making him feel supported, safe and 'seen' was evident in how quickly he settled. As parents we were encouraged, and filled-in every day on his activities. SiB really is a family caring for families.
Wendy Van der Linde likes: Specific care and knowledge of each child and parent., Fun activities inside and outdoors.

Both of my children have been lucky enough to go to Small is Beautiful from age 2, one of my girls is still there as she is only 3 and the other is now at school. I cannot express how much a part of our lives SiB has become, the kids have formed wonderful relationships with the other children and the amazing staff. The activities are interesting and creative and the environment is loving and nuturing. I have always felt extremely safe and confident in the care and attention that is given to the kids here, the teachers are super attentive and take a genuine interest in who the children are and getting to know them.

We sent our youngest daughter to Small is Beautiful. We were delighted with how my daughter was lovingly cared for, encouraged and educated. The teachers were kind, nurturing and built a family like environment. Because we immigrated from Europe there were no grandparents around and the teachers really made up for that and gave her roots and a feeling of belonging. We will always be thankful for this welcoming atmosphere. When I dropped them off I always felt I was leaving them in a safe place. Our daughter really thrived there.

Small is Beautiful pre-school has a wonderful community feel, the environment provides a real sense of belonging for children, and fast becomes a home away from home. Both my daughters have attended SIB, my oldest is now at school and my youngest is still attending. We have found there is genuine care and respect for the 'whole' child's wellbeing, interests and needs. Dani, Christine, Tracy and Val are all truly passionate about early childhood development and very dedicated to creating a nurturing, fun and encouraging play-based educational environment, that builds a sense of pride and accomplishment in the children. They feel safe and secure there and as a family, we feel very blessed to have found this treasure.
Charlotte Penman likes: The attentive staff, Engaging activities, Singing and mat time, Friendly and caring, Good communication
