Street or Road: 108 & 112 Mahia Road, Manurewa
Phone: contact number is not available for new enrolments
Ages of children: Licensed to care for children from infancy
Group / Centre Size: 51 or more children. This is a mega licensed early childhood centre. Check that small family-like group sizes are maintained, and not large classes. It is important for children's learning and emotional wellbeing to consistently have the same teachers everyday. No child should feel or be 'lost in the crowd'.
Qualified teaching staff: 80% to 100% of teaching staff are qualified teachers (according to funding claimed from the Ministry of Education, last updated beginning of 2020).
Shows Children that Men Can Teach and Care for Young Children Too: In 2019 the teaching team was, known to have been usually or all of the time, women only. (Note that it is best to have gender balance with children being taught and cared for by both men and women. In Home-based ECE this criterion relates to visiting teachers only)
Is this service HIGHLY Parent Rated?: THIS SERVICE CANNOT YET BE CLASSIFIED AS A HIGHLY RATED SERVICE. (To be so it needs to have a number of recent positive reviews - at least 5 positive if a small centre, or 10 if a mega-centre or a home-based service)
COMPLIANCE warning: It has a clean record. It's licence was not downgraded by the Ministry of Education in 2019 or 2020 as far as we know (if you want to check on its history before 2019 go to more info below)
My daughter has attended this centre from the age of 1yr old. My daughter is now 5yrs old is finishing the year out (2018). My 3yr old twins boys also attend. Overall I cannot fault the centre.
Price: Inexpensive, even if unable to make the required payments, the centre will talk with you to create a payment plan to suit for full-time care.
Support: Exceptional. All they ask is that you communicate with them and they will assist where they can.
Staff: All are ever so pleasant, always smiling and full of life. They acknowledge each and every child in a way which I have not seen at other centres which my older children have attended.
Environment: Comfortable, fun, friendly and warm. I enjoy my visits to the centre and observing the children who are always content and full of smiles.
