The teacher left my son asleep and went home
 (1.0/5)

On 31 Jul 2015, Louise Henare wrote:

My son was left behind one evening when a teacher went home leaving him. It was extremely lucky that there were teachers from the other rooms still on- site. The fact they let the teacher come back a short time later and work with babies is completely unacceptable. Do not trust them with your children.
REPLY from the Centre Director: "The incident happened three years ago. I was the centre director at the time and reported the incident to the NZ Teachers Council. They investigated and found that we had carried out and responded to the incident correctly and agreed that the teacher would be under supervision for 1 year. The Ministry of Education also investigated the incident and found that the correct procedures were followed and appropriate support was given to this teacher."
