TLC has provided my children the environment where they can enjoy the time to discover the world around them, develop their own interests and build long living relationships with children and teachers alike. The RIE philosophy is taken through from new born to school age and means that relationships are built on 'kind respect'. The quality of the care and the knowledge of the staff are the best of its kind and attracts the support of highly recognised infant educators from NZ and overseas. Parents feel very much part of TLC and there is great staff and parent communication. My children and I are blessed that we are part of the TLC Whanau and have been a part of the TLC story over the past few years.
TLC is a little haven

Firstly, I was impressed by the attention given to under 2s at The Learning Centre (TLC), where babies have a serene space to explore and develop. We've seen our child and her peers develop gorgeous relationships as they've moved through TLC and had the advantage of continuity of care. Caregivers are so gentle and caring, always finding time to share observations or learning stories about my daughters day. We value the respectful approach of all the staff, using the RIE philosophy. We know our daughter is being cared for with respect and see this coming through in her character.
High quality and very respectful practice

This centre has above very good teacher:child ratios, small group sizes for younger children and professional, amazing teachers. They are inspired by the work of Emmi Pikler and Magda Gerber. They have key caregivers as well as continuity of care, in which the children transition with a teacher. They focus on building authentic respectful relationships with parents.
