We've had a terrible expirence with Ngaio Playcentre. The extreme measure a mum took while trying to deescalate a situation is embarrassing and appalling. She went against her free positive guidance training and against recommendations of fellow mums on session. I would not recommend Ngaio playcentre

Loved my 8 years at Ngaio. The high level of adult involvement is exactly the thing your preschoolers need. And I learnt heaps of awesome stuff at the courses. Also the outdoor area is fantastic there. Fond fond memories.

It's hard to predict when you're in the middle of those busy pre-school years, what an amazingly positive impact Playcentre will play in your life. I treasure my years learning alongside my children at Ngaio Playcentre, and our family continues to be part of this amazing community through our children's school years. We formed very close bonds though supporting each other and running sessions (and our centre!)together. It was a whole lot of fun for adults and children alike. Such rich learning came out of our stimulating sessions following our children's interests with skilled use of strategies we learned through the free adult education programme. I really valued the high adult-child ratios which allowed children's full potential to be developed, as well as their emotional & social needs met. Adults can readily respond to children's requests. And because we all get to know each other so well, a very caring community spirit develops, which is also an added reassurance to know that friends who really care about your children's well-being are looking after them. And on top of all that, Ngaio Playcentre is lucky to have a beautiful outdoors setting of gardens and native bush, plus a recently renovated interior that makes it a real pleasure to be in.

Having had all four of our children come through playcentre until they left for school, I can only look back with very happy memories of a precious time of our lives. The friends I made through playcentre are still friends 4 years on and our children still have wonderful memories of the place where they to this day have a real sense of belonging. One of the best things was learning and sharing parenting tips with like-minded people who wanted to be involved in their children's education.

Ngaio Playcentre provides a high quality education for 0-6 year olds. Ratios are high and group numbers are low. Children's interests can be and are extended. Friendships and community are strong for both children and adults.
