My daughter went to Shining Lights Christian Preschool for 2 years. We just loved it and will be sending our baby there soon. All the staff are extremely warm and caring of the children, caring for them like they are their own. There is a high staff to children ratio, it feels like the children really receive a lot of attention. There are plenty of activities to do, as well as plenty of music/singing time. Every morning when you arrive there are different stations of toys / activities for the children to choose from (eg: building with magnetic plastic pieces, painting.. etc). We really love that although the babies (under 2s) have their own area, the older kids can come and visit and play with them. It is also multi-cultural, with children and staff from different ethnicities, which is hard to find in the ponsonby/grey lynn area. The centre is not for profit and really feels like a 'family' rather than a business, which is exactly what you want for children especially when they are young.
