I have been a part of the Phoenix whanau since my son was 6 months old he is now a school boy. I remember when I first went to visit phoenix preschool I was pretty nervous being a young mum but the staff at phoenix were so warm and welcoming and never minded how long I stayed with my son in the morning as I watched him play before heading off to work. When you are leaving your bundle of joy for the first time it can be extremely difficult and I was so reassured as the staff kept me updated and let me know he was settled and happy playing which made my day so much easier as I knew I didn't have to worry. It was truly amazing knowing that the teachers were filling up his love bubble as much as I would be. My biggest worry was when he needed a sleep as he loved to be rocked in your arms with a cuddly cheek rub which I knew could be difficult for the teachers as he was not the only child they were catering for but this didn't bother the amazing teachers at phoenix they did just this even when he demanded the same person which truly melted my heart knowing just how much the teachers cared about him,
In my sons final years at Phoenix I decided I would study early childcare where again I was warmly welcomed by everyone and I am now in my final year of study which I couldn't have got this far without such an awesome team behind me backing me every step of the way.
Phoenix preschool is such an awesome whanau to be a part of there is so much aroha that fills these walls.

Awesome Preschool As a retired staff member of Phoenix Preschool for some 30 years I can only say that I so loved being a part of the team, furniture and history. Naturally over that time span I saw many children and families and it was always exciting (although sad) to see the tamariki move on with their "learning journey" to school.
There has always been and continues to be, a dedicated team of teachers who support families and share in each individual child's, "learning Journey "within a safe and caring environment.
Some 30 years ago my own daughter attended the same Preschool and now its my Granddaughter who has the same excitement about her attended days there. I still enjoy going "To Play" on occasion as a reliever and always feel welcomed by the children, staff and parents. You are all awesome and do such a great job.

Nearly 3 years ago I started the process of finding an Early Childhood Centre for our wee girl. It was a daunting process and one that was not easy. I had visited a number of local preschools with no success, until I visited Phoenix Preschool.
The moment we walked in I “felt” it, I knew that we had found the Centre for us. It was a feeling hard to describe, but it one of belonging. We were greeted by a friendly bunch of staff who made the process of beginning preschool very easy.
We now have 2 young children who attend Phoenix, one in each room. And I can honestly say that in the short time we have been at Phoenix the Centre has only moved from strength to strength. '
The teachers go above and beyond constantly. They strive for excellence in every area of their practice. They are motivated and proactive and constantly providing varied and authentic learning for our young ones. The staff are innovative, creative, kind, caring and nurturing. They provide love and care for our children whist ensuring they build relationships with the family. As a parent, I feel so supported and truly part of my children’s early childhood learning journey.
Personally, I find it hard leaving my children to go to work, but it is made so much easier knowing that my wee ones are loved and cared for when I can’t be there. There is great comfort in knowing your kids are being looked after by the best.

At Phoenix Preschool I love how they have really taken the time to get to know my daughter and her interest and have a fantastic authentic relationship with her. She loves going and gets excited in the mornings. She loves her teachers so much she even changes the names in songs to accommodate her teachers names. Thanks Phoenix Team

Our son hasn't been going to Phoenix for very long but has settled in without any issue. Even though I was recommend to send him there I checked out a few other options but as soon as I walked into Phoenix for the first time with my son. The warm family feel to the place won me over and the search for the perfect daycare for him was over. All the teachers are welcoming and supported us with the transition of starting pre school. Our son loves playing outside and exploring. He is coming home more confident each day. Would recommend Phoenix highly.
