Otago Childcare Centre has recently farewelled our eldest child as they headed off to school. They provided a wonderful start to education, encouraging my little one to develop a love for learning and confidence within their self. They provide an amazing transition to school group which I have not seen anywhere else. My child was participating in this on each of their Centre days, spending focused time with the teacher completing fun school type tasks. I sent my child off to school with the knowledge they were 'school ready', able to sit, concentrate, write their name, take turns, respect their peers & teacher...all the things I know makes a great start to school life.
Our youngest is still at Otago Childcare Centre in the infant area and loving every minute. The teachers spend time with us as parents regularly to find out any changes to routine, what our little one enjoys so they can match opportunities at Centre and discuss our aspirations, hopes and dreams. We love Otago Child Care Centre and feel confident and happy with the wonderful care that is provided for our children. The homely environment and home cooked meals, the care and warmth from the staff and wonderful education that is provided due to low numbers and an individualised approach - this is the next best thing to being at home - actually my kids probably get more than I could provide them if I was at home full time : )
