About the ECE Parents’ Council Aotearoa
We’re a non-political group that represents parents and caregivers of children in ECE services in Aotearoa New Zealand.
The ECE Parents’ Council advocates for the inclusion of parents’ views in ECE to improve standards for tamariki, and ensure access is available to high-quality and affordable education and care.

We advocate for our voice as parents to be listened to by the Ministry of Education and the Government.
We stand for:
* Improvement in ECE regulations and licensing criteria, regular monitoring and checks of services, and stronger enforcement.
* Funding policies that ensure ECE is affordable to all families and every child can attend.
* High-quality practices and environments for children and their parents/ caregivers in ECE services.
We have more than 1,200 members.
