1. Facilities or alternative arrangements to prepare and clean up paint and art materials are provided and are separate from facilities for washing sick or soiled children.

 

2. Water accessible by children is no hotter than 40 degrees and comfortable for children to use. 

Additional Information: Some centres use the same basins or sinks where children wash their hands, some use the kitchen sink, while others have dedicated facilities. Parents are advised to check if their centre has separate wash facilities for children who need washing e..g. they have vomited, had an injury or nose bleed, or defecated.
